Component Technical Specifications

This Photo Interrupter module is a high-speed optical switch designed for non-contact sensing. It features an infrared emitter and a phototransistor mounted facing each other across a narrow slot. When an opaque object passes through the slot, it interrupts the infrared beam, instantly changing the output signal. This makes it an ideal component for optical encoders to measure motor RPM, limit switches in 3D printers, and part counting on conveyor belts.
